Summary

This bathroom remodel in San Rafael was all about starting fresh. The space needed a full update—from the tile and fixtures to the plumbing and electrical layout. Our goal was to deliver a modern, functional bathroom that would last for years.

The Work

Demolished existing tile, drywall, flooring, vanity, and fixtures to expose rough framing
Completed rough-in plumbing, relocated drains, and installed new shower valve and head
Upgraded electrical with new vanity lighting, exhaust fan, GFCI outlets, and switches
Installed waterproof backing, custom shower pan, and performed a flood test
Tiled and grouted shower walls, floor, and wainscoting, then sealed all grout
Repaired water-damaged framing and handled drywall finishing for non-tiled areas

The Outcome

The bathroom now features a clean layout, with updated plumbing and electrical supporting daily use. Custom tile work and a sealed shower pan make the space both attractive and built for durability. Every detail, from the new fixtures to the wall repairs, contributes to a refreshed, reliable bathroom.
